CHERRY RED

The Benham offers a completely unique aesthetic not previously seen in the Cushion Case collection. The dial is a rich cherry red, textured with horizontal grooves, and punctuated by a sunken sub-dial above six. The minute track is printed in a matching red, and onto a sunken cream ring. Combined with the applied tapered hour markers, this gives the dial a sense of depth. Complementing the hour batons is a tapered silver handset, and both are filled with Grade X1 Super-LumiNova for nighttime legibility. Punctuating the cream and red colour scheme of the Benham is the baby blue seconds hand of the sub-dial, which gives the watch a playful touch. Meanwhile, the bezel of the case into which the dial is mounted is brushed, which leans into the sportier nature of the Benham's dial. The mix of bold colours along with a multi-layer dial results in the Benham having a very contemporary look that’s exceptionally striking.

Features

Tantalising Textures - The dial of the Benham features a rich cherry red dial that's textured with horizontal grooves. Around this bold dial is a sunken cream-coloured minute track whose print matches the red of the dial.

Curvaceous Comfort - The cushion case sits comfortably on any wrist, with a thickness of only 10.5mm and a compact lug-to-lug of 43.8mm.

Manual Drive - The watches in the Cushion Case collection are powered by Swiss hand-wound mechanical movements with custom decoration, which can be viewed through a sapphire case back.

Night Light - The hands and markers are filled with luminous Super-LumiNova for supreme legibility in the dark.

STORY

The Benham is named after Gertrude Benham, an English explorer and mountaineer. Born in 1867, Benham began climbing mountains from an early age. Remarkably for the period, Benham always travelled alone, only accompanied by local guides and porters. Throughout the course of her life, she completed seven circumnavigations of the globe and climbed over 300 mountains. In 1916, she was named a fellow of the Royal Geographic Society. She was also the first woman to climb Mount Kilimanjaro, and one of the summits of Mount Rogers in British Columbia, Truda Peaks, is named after her.

If you look up the definition of elegance, you will find that it means “pleasingly ingenious and simple.” That is the Lethbridge in a nutshell.→

At 38.5mm wide with short, curved lugs, the Mansfield’s fully polished case sits perfectly on the wrist, relatively small and elegant, in a cool, distinctly modern way.→

The watch overall is stunning, feels weighty (but not heavy) for what it is, and its overall slim appearance and size look great as both a sporty and dress model that would look equally smart peeking out from under a suit cuff or with a t-shirt and jeans.→
