ON THE GRID
The Hecla Hunter Green is a confident mix of rich colour and practical design. Featuring a hunter green dial, stamped with a deep grid pattern, onto which are mounted pure white batons and numerals made from Lumicast, a blend of ceramic and the newest Grade X2 Super-LumiNova. These are paired with a matching white handset filled with X2 Super-LumiNova and provide excellent legibility under any lighting conditions.
Against the edge of the dial sits the internal rotating bezel that is a signature feature of compressor dive watches. Operated by the lower screw-down crown, this unidirectional bezel also has lumed markings. With such excellent contrast, it’s immediately apparent that the Hecla Hunter Green is a dive watch that puts practicality at the forefront of its design.
Like the other 2025 Aqua Compressor models, the Hecla Hunter Green is powered by the La Joux-Perret G101, a Swiss calibre with an impressive 68-hour power reserve. You can see it in action through the watch’s sapphire case back, and admire the custom rotor and anthracite grey finish.
For the Aqua Compressor collection, Farer has an ongoing charitable partnership with The Hebridean Whale and Dolphin Trust (HWDT). A portion of the profits from the sale of each Aqua Compressor will be donated to the trust to support their work in the conservation of marine life and the upkeep of their research vessel, the Silurian. We are proud to have already raised £53,500, which puts us well on the way to our total goal of donating £75,000.
FEATURES

Compression Innovation - Just like vintage EPSA super compressors, the Aqua Compressor case uses the pressure of the water to compress the gaskets sealing the watch, thus increasing the watch's water resistance the deeper it goes.

Weekend Warrior - The La Joux-Perret G101 that powers the watch has an impressive 68-hour power reserve, which means it can keep ticking all weekend without being worn, and still be ready for you to strap on Monday morning. The movement has also been electroplated with a striking anthracite grey coating and a rotor customised with golden waves.

Light & Strong - The case of the Aqua Compressor is crafted from grade 2 titanium and is remarkably light, weighing just 62g. It measures 41mm in diameter, with a 45mm lug-to-lug, and is just 12.5mm thick.

Twin Crowns - The Aqua Compressors feature the twin crowns that are a signature of compressor dive watches. Both crowns screw down and are titanium inset with bronze caps that feature a crosshatch pattern and the Farer logo. The bottom crown operates the bezel and the top sets the time.

Luminous Quality - The Aqua Compressor features a generous application of Grade X2 Super-LumiNova across the hands, hour markers, and bezel, ensuring it's readable in any light.
STORY
Named after HMS Hecla, a Royal Navy bomb vessel launched in 1815. Like many other British bomb vessels, she was named after a volcano, in this case, Hekla in Iceland. She originally served at the Bombardment of Algiers, in a bid to end the slavery practices of Omar Agha. In 1819, she was modified to serve as an Arctic exploration ship, making three journeys in search of the icy Northwest Passage and one unsuccessful attempt on the North Pole, before being retired from service in 1827.
