MIDNIGHT BLUE
The brushed metallic dial of the Mansfield Midnight is a deep inky blue, punctuated by polished batons and numerals in rose gold. These are mounted onto a raised sector dial and are matched with a rose gold railroad minute track running along the outer edge of the dial. The slim dauphine handset is also polished and finished in a rose gold PVD coating. Above the six o’clock position is a sunken seconds sub-dial featuring an engine-turned texture. The combination of this sunken sub-dial and the raised sector with its applied markers gives the dial a sense of depth, whilst the metallic tones of the dial, combined with the polished rose gold hands and markers give the watch a clean, sophisticated aesthetic that makes the Mansfield Midnight a striking watch on the wrist.

STORY
Named after Charlotte Mansfield, a British explorer, novelist and poet. Most well known for her journeys through Africa in the early 1900s. Her trip, nicknamed “Cape to Cairo,” was a planned route starting in South Africa and ending in Cairo, Egypt and one of the most venturesome expeditions ever undertaken by a woman. Mansfield traveled over 16,000 miles (26,000 km) with a sole team of locals, but her journey was cut short due to an epidemic of sleeping sickness (parasitic infection). Mansfield made it to Lake Tanganyika before reluctantly returning to South Africa. Even though she had not completed the entire journey, she had gathered enough experience to write about in her new book which received praise and recognition by publishing companies.

If you look up the definition of elegance, you will find that it means “pleasingly ingenious and simple.” That is the Lethbridge in a nutshell.→
At 38.5mm wide with short, curved lugs, the Mansfield’s fully polished case sits perfectly on the wrist, relatively small and elegant, in a cool, distinctly modern way.→
