OCTANE BLUE
With a dial that only has two colours, astro silver and octane blue, the Lethbridge is the perfect showcase of how subtle textures and a well-composed layered dial can bring a watch to life. The most striking aspect of the Lethbridge is of course the polished octane blue dauphine hands and Arabic numerals. These jump out from the silver tones of the dial, making the watch exceptionally easy to read. However, the dial itself is full of subtle elements that make it an intriguing sight to behold. For starters, the dial is of a sector design, with the numerals mounted on a raised ring with a satin finish. This is set against a base dial with a vertical brushed finish and a blue railroad minute track along the outer edge. Lastly, there’s the seconds sub-dial at six o’clock, with a sunken ring punched through the rest of the dial and given a sharp engine-turned finish. The subtle details all come together to make up a design that gives a classical style a thoroughly contemporary update, that results in a watch that can be worn all day, every day.

Curvaceous Comfort - The cushion case sits comfortably on any wrist, with a thickness of only 10.5mm and a compact lug-to-lug of 43.8mm.
Manual Drive - The watches in the Cushion Case collection are powered by Swiss hand-wound mechanical movements with custom decoration, which can be viewed through a sapphire case back.
STORY
Named after Grace Marguerite, Lady Hay Drummond-Hay (née Lethbridge), a British explorer and journalist. In August 1929, she became the first woman to travel around the world by air (in a LZ 127 Graf Zeppelin airship). She was the only woman among the 60 male passengers and crew. Although she was not an aviator herself at first, she contributed to the glamour of aviation and general knowledge of it, by writing articles about her aerial adventures for US newspapers in the late 1920s and early 1930s.

If you look up the definition of elegance, you will find that it means “pleasingly ingenious and simple.” That is the Lethbridge in a nutshell.→
At 38.5mm wide with short, curved lugs, the Mansfield’s fully polished case sits perfectly on the wrist, relatively small and elegant, in a cool, distinctly modern way.→
